Other Things on My Mind
So obviously I haven’t written for quite a while but I’ve had other things on my mind. Work has been quite crazy. Last week I spoke with my boss about my job and learned that they are wanting to switch some people around so that we can get the signals in the City re-timed. We have a guy in the traffic division who they want to bring over to our office and they need someone to do his job, so they have asked me to consider moving back to the Busch building and doing Plan Review. Last week was filled with the stress of thinking that things might change which is always hard to deal with. I was also over in the other office a lot trying to learn a little bit about the job it self. I will probably be getting new job duties in about a month or so but I’ll keep you posted for those who want to know.
I’ve been looking into ebay for some photography stuff and I’ve found some pretty good deals. I can’t decide weather I want to go for a 135 mm zoom lens or a 300 mm zoom lens. I’m sure for the most part I wouldn’t be using the 300 mm but I’m sure it would come in handy some times. Any of you who know any thing about photography and can give me some advice I would gladly take it. I’ve also been looking at some external flashes. Most of the one’s I’ve found are brands other than Cannon and I’m just curious how reliable those are. They are much cheaper and I’m thinking that would be good to start out with and see how much it helps, I just have no idea which brand is more reliable.
Mark & I have been throwing the idea around of a trip to New York City. Mark has a cousin, Rachel, who goes to Columbia University and is getting ready to graduate in May. Not only would it be great to see her and a free place to stay but Mary, Luther, and Ann (Rachel’s Mom) are all going out there as well and it would be a really fun trip. We are running into a road block with taxes though. Sometimes it’s difficult being an adult. Tax season is usually never good to Mark given that he’s his own business and has to deal with making sure he’s paying the government enough through out the year, some how it always comes up short. I hope we get to make it out there I’ve never been and I hear it’s pretty cool.
I’ll stop rambling on for anyone who reads this. Remember to go vote!

I just saw this page in the same category as one of the posts on my wp blog and I just wanted to say that I definitely sympathize and agree with the sentence “Sometimes it’s difficult being an adult.” Doing my taxes, paying rent and other bills makes me feel responsible and I know that should be its own reward but that doesn’t make it any less difficult. I guess I’m seeing the balance of fun shifting to the satisfaction of being responsible and that’s just not that fun. I know this sound a little on the immature side but does anyone else feel that there is less fun and more difficulty when you’re an adult?
